Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute and how to become a volunteer!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
PROGRAM:
- Volunteer as a Guest Speaker, up to once per year, typically in March. You would attend a small-group meeting to share your story—professional, personal, or both—with current Olympia’s Leaders.
- Supporting Olympia’s Leaders and Alums in Career Exploration, as needed and available. You would share about your industry, profession, and/or passion—along with paths to pursue them—at an in-person Institute event, small group meeting, or via individual connections.
DEVELOPMENT:
- Help with fundraising efforts, on an ongoing basis. You would work with the Institute’s development team, which raises 100% of the organization’s annual operating budget to deliver the program at no cost to Olympia’s Leaders or Partner Schools.
EVENTS:
- Help with an Institute event, as needed and available. You would help staff with preparations—such as nametag and material assembly, event-day execution—such as setting up decor or staffing a registration table, and/or event follow-up—such as writing thank you notes.
VOLUNTEERING SIGN-UP:
Complete the form below and receive a link to indicate your volunteer preferences.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:
- Apply to become an Olympia’s Leader Advisor (OLA), for a three-year term. You would mentor a group of six high school girls, starting in the fall of their sophomore year through their high school graduation, as you meet monthly to deliver the program. Learn more and apply here.
- Join the Institute’s Leader’s Network by making a gift of $500 or more, or have your company do so. You would receive quarterly professional development and networking events with 300+ women leading Maine companies. Learn more and donate here.
- Support the Institute by attending a public event or making a gift of any amount. Even $15 can provide meeting refreshments to Olympia’s Leaders, some of whom are food insecure at home. Learn more and donate here.
